The project "Sport for all Genders and Sexualities - Tackling Sexism, Trans- and Homophobia in European Grassroots Sport” (SGS) is aiming at establishing an inclusive sport culture open to all genders and sexualities. European sport is still dominated by masculine values, stereotypical gender perceptions and the strict separation in “men” and “women”. This dominant binary and masculine narrative in sport contributes to discrimination and exclusion of women/girls (sexism), transgender (transphobia) and LGB (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual) people (homophobia) as well as all of those, who do not (want to) fit to a specific masculinity.
The appointment of an international evaluator for the execution of the evaluation is an integral part of the project activities, the terms of reference are based on the guidelines laid out by the European Commission.
The achievement of the overall objective of the “Sport for all Genders and Sexualities” project shall be evaluated, that is to enhance the inclusion and participation of all genders and sexualities in European grassroots sport. Together with relevant stakeholders from organized grassroots sport, SGS develops measures and methods, including institutional dialogue, guidelines, awareness raising campaigning and training to tackle these forms of discrimination and diminish barriers for transgender athletes, LGB people and women.
The project is implemented by Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation (VIDC, Austria, lead agency). Partners in the project are the German Sports University (GSU, Germany), European Gay and Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF, The Netherlands), Assoziazione Italiane Cultura e Sport (AICS, Italy), Diversport (DS, Spain), Landessportbund Nordrhein-Westfalen (LSB, Germany) and Confédération Sportive Internationale Travailliste et Amateur (CSIT, Austria).
Honorarium: 6.000 Euro (contract for work, including taxes).
The honorarium includes individual travel and subsistence costs to attend at least 2 partner meetings or events for monitoring in loco. If necessary, additional travel and subsistence costs may be covered by VIDC, if so, then it will be reimbursed on the basis of real costs.
