Between the beach and the stadiums, ballesterer introduces the city's four major clubs – Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Vasco da Gama – their history, and some of their greatest players. With scientist and activist Jorge Vasconellos, the magazine takes a look back at the major protests before the 2014 World Cup and their impact on Rio today. Away from the main focus, this issue is dedicated to the Heysel disaster of May 1985, the German insolvency administrators of KFC Uerdingen, and the successes of Nottingham Forest.
