feminist fighters week, 7.-13.4.25

Dear martial arts enthusiasts, trainers, and gym owners,

Once again, fairplay prevention and the Feminist Fighters Union invite you to participate in the feminist fighters week.

The martial arts scene in Austria is still heavily male-dominated. Despite new training opportunities, many people have yet to find a place in martial arts. Many FLINTA* (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people) as well as queer individuals want to train in martial arts but often feel uncomfortable in existing structures.

We want to change that! From April 7 to April 13, we warmly invite you to be part of the feminist fighters week 2025.

Together, we will once again make a strong statement for more gender diversity and inclusion in martial arts!

By offering a special training program for FLINTA* and queers, you can actively support these groups and make your gym or club even more accessible. Your participation will be accompanied by media coverage through us.

What do you need to participate?

A special training session for FLINTA* and queer individuals offered by you or your gym during the week of April 7 to April 13, 2025.

What do you get in return?

  • Media exposure: Promotion of your engagement through our social media channels.
  • Workshops: A free preparatory and follow-up workshop on gender-sensitive training for you and your team.
    • Preparatory workshop: April 1, 2025, 18:00–20:00 (online).
    • Follow-up workshop: May 6, 2025, 18:00–20:00 (online).
