Football is often seen as a panacea for societal, social, economic or political challenges, as a tool for inclusion, skills development, informal education to reconciliation of political conflicts. Is this an empty promise or a lived reality? What are the methods and approaches to using football as a tool for social development, and what are the attitudes of a performance-oriented environment?
