fairplay prevention - contact point against misanthropic ideologies invites you to a reception as part of the exhibition "Sports.Crowds.Power. Football under the Nazis" at the Haus des deutschen Sports on 20 June at 12:30 a.m.
As a partner of Football Supporters Europe (FSE), fairplay prevention organises the Fan Embassy Austria and offers supporting programmes around the matches of the Austrian national team. On the occasion of the European Championship group match between Poland and Austria, fairplay prevention is cooperating with the exhibition Sports.Crowds.Power. curated by what matters and the Polish organisation NEVER AGAIN.
The exhibition shows the importance of sport for the National Socialists and how they used football to secure their power. It tells of football matches in concentration camps and commemorates Jewish and non-Jewish athletes who were persecuted under National Socialism. The overarching question is to what extent the power of football leads to cohesion or to marginalisation - then and now.
