New fairplay factsheet - "Gender & sexual diversity in sport"

This factsheet creates an initial awareness of the situation of LGBTIQ+ people in sport. LGBTIQ+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and generally queer people. The ‘+’ symbolises that there are many more identities, for example non-binary. All of these groups of people face marginalisation and discrimination in sport.

The factsheet clarifies the most important terms in the area of gender and sexual diversity, why the exclusion of people is discrimination and why sport needs to take action. Sports organisations can download the factsheet and use it to raise awareness in their organisation and tackle the issue!
