Barrier-free arrival
Fans with reduced mobility, including those coming from the Schauspielhaus fan zone, the Burgplatz fan zone, the Rheinufer public viewing area or the Old Town, are recommended to use the U78 subway line. The U78 will take you from Heinrich-Heine-Allee in Düsseldorf city center to Sportpark Nord / Europaplatz in front of the arena.

Accessibility in the stadium
The Accessibility Info Point is located behind the barrier-free seats in the inner circulation area near K8. If you have any questions about accessibility in the stadium or need help accessing the audio-descriptive commentary, the volunteers will be happy to assist you.

Parking at the stadium
Public parking spaces at the Arena Düsseldorf can be booked for €24 per match while stocks last. → Reserve a parking space here

We generally advise against traveling to the stadium by car. Instead, we recommend using public transport on match day. If you do drive, it is best to share the car with friends or family so that you can make the best use of the space and arrive together.

Gender-neutral entrances to the stadium
For the first time at a major soccer event, there will be so-called "sensitivity lanes" at the entrance to the stadium, where there will be no gender-specific admission control. The entrances are marked accordingly and are usually located on the far right of all entrances. Fans can also choose whether they want to be checked by a male or female steward. Admission is also possible without a gender check (e.g. on the ticket).

The organizer is very progressive about this: "EURO 2024 considers gender identities and expressions as a spectrum that cannot be limited to a binary concept".

Düsseldorf Austria fan march

For those who would like to walk to the stadium with others, there will be a fan march in Düsseldorf for the match against France (kick-off 21:00). According to the ÖFB, the key points are as follows:

  • Fan Meeting Point: Rheinpark Golzheim
  • Time: 15:00 - 18:00 (refreshments and toilets available)
  • Departure to the stadium no later than 18:00 in order to be at the stadium on time at 19:20
  • Route: Fan march takes place along the Rhine to the stadium
  • Distance to the stadium: 3.8 km
  • Expected number: 3,000 Austrian fans

The Fan Embassy Austria team will also be there.

After the game

Very important information for your departure:
The subway line U78
towards Düsseldorf city center (main station, old town, fan zones, public viewing) departs from a different station after the game than when you arrived:

The U78 leaves from the Merkur Spiel-Arena/Messe Nord stop - not from the Sportpark Nord/Europaplatz stop! Pay attention to the signs on site.

In the event of extra time or penalty shoot-outs, the subway line U78 will continue in the direction of Düsseldorf city center until at least two hours after the end of the match. You can find more information here.

Fan project Düsseldorf

The fundamental aim of the fan project's work is to strengthen a creative, fair, democratic and self-determined fan culture. The fans should be given the opportunity to have a say and influence on issues that affect them (e.g. fan curve design, etc.). By means of targeted offers and activities, we want to provide the fan scene with a forum and space to inform themselves, exchange ideas and develop Düsseldorf's fan culture in a positive way.

The Düsseldorf fan project began its activities in September 1993. Thanks to donations from the punk rock band Die Toten Hosen, the socio-educational work with young soccer fans could also be realized in Düsseldorf. Today, after more than 25 years, the fan project is a recognized institution in the Düsseldorf fan and youth welfare landscape.
